Hi, my friend at work had her purse stolen in a Pizza place’s parking lot after she exited the pizza place. She just purchased the pizza and walked out the door and was about to get into her car. She put the pizza on the roof of her car and 2 guys came up and ripped the purse off of her shoulder. It is a bad neighborhood. Can she sue the pizza place (because the parking lot is their property) for being negligent in not providing security?
The store’s duty of care did not extend to safeguard against the criminal activity of a third party, by providing its own security for the parking lot. This falls within a well established principle of negligence. As well, it is just one of the many hurdles your friend faces. So no case.
My family is debating whether on not to move to a neighborhood. We have a lot of friends in the neighborhood and alot of things to do. We get really bored in the summer since there is not a lot to do on our 7 acre (4 woods and 3 field) property. We have a house that we are concidering buying. Got any advice? Thanks.
i grew up in a neighborhood and it was so much fun becasue there was a bunch of kids my age…i would be outside everyday sun or rain it seemed..but wen i was older we moved to the country and it was boring it was nice to have land to go 4-wheeling but that was it. i was consitlay going to friends houses and never seemed to be at home. i always missed hanging nieghbors close by
somebody know some good police website in houston where you can check apartment complex before you move-in?
DAR got it, I went there a while back and found out the bad neighborhoods had the most felonies. As the neighborhood gets better, felonies decrease until you have neighborhoods who have none, then it shot up again when you reach the rich neighborhoods.
Also, how much start up money does one need in general to start. Remember, this would just be a small start up bar in a general neighborhood, nothing fancy?
liquor license are very expensive but if you know the area you plan to set up then call and get pricing
….
She said she liked to read it "for entertainment purposes only."
We have a great marriage, so I don’t worry. And she’s a great mom. The whole neighborhood knows and several other dads have given her 200 flowers apiece in recent weeks in recognition. She said she donates the flowers to local churches on her way home from these ceremonies, so I don’t have to see them, me being allergic to flowers.
Sounds like you have the "don’t ask don’t tell" policy in your marriage. Ignorance is bliss. Don’t worry, I’m sure she’s just in it for "entertainment purposes" and all those flowers are green and tax-free, and she probably has a lot of "friends" now to keep her busy.
I deleted the original neighborhoods that come with the game by using the in game tool to remove them. Is there anyway to recover them with all the sims and houses in them? If not in the game, is there anywhere you can download them and put them back in?
Happy Valentines Day!
1 way: well you can delete the EA games file in your documents. this will destroy all the other neighborhoods that you have created. when you open the game again it will create a hole new game, anything you have downloaded or made in your body shop will be gone! but the other neighborhoods will be there again.
second way: you can create a new file or user name on you computer, this will create a hole new EA games file, but the one that you have in the other user name will be safe!
e mail me for any concerns
Good Luck!

Behind the scenes look at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction, where Jay Leno auctioned off his own customized Star V-Max to benefit Bailey’s Cafe, an inter-generational arts charity that operates in a tough Brooklyn neighborhood. Bailey’s is turning the “hood” into a real neighborhood and it’s run by Jay’s old college friend, Stefanie Siegel.
