does a restaurant have to serve Italian food if it’s in an Italian neighborhood?

Posted by admin on March 19th, 2010 and filed under neighborhood restaurant | 14 Comments »

a location example; North Beach in San Francisco, California

Heck no! San Francisco is such a melting pot, every one of our neighborhoods is a little bit of a reflection of that. It wouldn’t be San Francisco if North Beach didn’t include a great Hunan place, super tapas, authentic Indian cuisine, and a taqueria or two amidst all the traditional Italian restaurants. Don’t worry about ethnic labeling, just relax and enjoy it all!

What are some traits of a family owned mom/pop shop compared to big chain?

Posted by admin on March 15th, 2010 and filed under neighborhood restaurant | 2 Comments »

For example, I ordered food from a family run neighborhood restaurant this afternoon and it was delivered in a Big Lots store’s plastic bag, as though they were recycling to save on cost and waste!

The food tastes better. Like more authentic. And yes most of them do recycle. Most of them use pots and pans and stuff from there house. And so on. It’s like your mom and dad cooking for you

can you be 13 and get a job in kentucky? NOT AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD AT A RESTAURANT OR A GAS STATION!!?

Posted by admin on March 13th, 2010 and filed under neighborhood restaurant | 4 Comments »

im turnin 13 and i need sum money so i gotta get a job like i can wit til im 14 though.
and first of all age of reason it doesnt really matter how old you are on this site ive been on it since i was 8 thank u so lose the tude dude.
ibu guru i need to learn how to write and spell?? im about to be going into the 8th grade, and im in andvanced language arts, plus ive had a short story ppublished in a childrens book of short stories, i think i no how to write and spell.

Most states require that a minor child be at least 16 to obtain a work permit. Very few allow children of 14 or 15 to work. When you are older, check with your high school guidance counselor on your state’s requirements to obtain a work permit. You will need your parents’ written permission to apply for such a permit.

BTW, this only applies if you are a US citizen or legal permanent resident. Children of foreigners, for example, dependents of foreigners with employment visas, are strictly forbidden to work and cannot obtain permission from immigration authorities to work under any circumstances.

And if you want a job in the future, start working harder in school. You need to learn to write and spell or you will not even be able to complete a job application properly. If you cannot fill out a job application, you cannot get any job at all.

Would a buffet kind of restaurant make money like a sit down one?

Posted by admin on March 11th, 2010 and filed under neighborhood restaurant | 6 Comments »

I mean in a rich neighborhood. Most of the time you see people in those kinds of neigherborhoods in sit down and order type restaurants.

Buffet style used to be very popular, because food was ready.
People could see what they were getting, try different things.
Health & Sanitation regulations have tightened considerably.
In response to many serious food poisoning complaints.
Because the food was not always kept safe & fresh.
Nowadays, a lot of food gets wasted & cannot be served.

Especially in rich neighbourhoods, people like being served.

Windsor – The New North Central Phoenix Restaurant

Posted by admin on March 10th, 2010 and filed under neighborhood restaurant | No Comments »

Chris Morrison and Cindy Fassel with Morrison Residential / www.NorthCentralLiving.com interview Craig DeMarco owner of Postino wine bar to talk about his new restaurant WINDSOR in North Central Phoenix. Set to Open September 2010!

Postinos is celebrating their first anniversary on Central! And what better way to celebrate then by breaking ground on a new restaurant.
Located in the 1940s building just north of Postinos on the east side of the street a renaissance begins. Planning to open by September 2010, WINDSOR is a neighborhood restaurant that will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu was inspired by simple farm style cuisine. Always using the freshest ingredients, home style breads, jams and farm grown veggies, I guarantee, you will not leave hungry. Another surprise store is planned, but you must visit our website for that secret and a you tube video of owners Craig and Chris DeMarco and Lauren Bailey. www.northcentralliving.com
And dont forget about Postinos with its extensive wine selection, beers, incredible bruchettas, salads and sandwiches. This open air café is a great place to gather with friends and family. Bike, or walk for the weekend brunches, or a light snack after the game, or play. It is within walking distance from the light rail at Central and Camelback. www.postinowinecafe.com
North Central is fortunate to have the commitment and vision that these young entrepreneurs are bringing to our neighborhoods. While respecting the history and architectural integrity of the buildings they are bringing back to life. Thanks to the DeMarcos and Baileys for that consideration, as well as the great food!

Can you recommend a good restaurant in NYC for a date?

Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under neighborhood restaurant | 5 Comments »

Can you recommend a good sit down restaurant in NYC I would like to spend $30 between $75 for a meal.

I would like somewhere with a cool atmosphere and good food. I do not like Sushi or Indian. My favorite kind of food is Italian.

Any neighborhood will do. I will be taking a date there.

Patsy’s Italian Restaurant at 236 West 56th Street, NYC. Reservations needed.
