im turnin 13 and i need sum money so i gotta get a job like i can wit til im 14 though.
and first of all age of reason it doesnt really matter how old you are on this site ive been on it since i was 8 thank u so lose the tude dude.
ibu guru i need to learn how to write and spell?? im about to be going into the 8th grade, and im in andvanced language arts, plus ive had a short story ppublished in a childrens book of short stories, i think i no how to write and spell.

Most states require that a minor child be at least 16 to obtain a work permit. Very few allow children of 14 or 15 to work. When you are older, check with your high school guidance counselor on your state’s requirements to obtain a work permit. You will need your parents’ written permission to apply for such a permit.

BTW, this only applies if you are a US citizen or legal permanent resident. Children of foreigners, for example, dependents of foreigners with employment visas, are strictly forbidden to work and cannot obtain permission from immigration authorities to work under any circumstances.

And if you want a job in the future, start working harder in school. You need to learn to write and spell or you will not even be able to complete a job application properly. If you cannot fill out a job application, you cannot get any job at all.

What neighborhood of San Francisco should I live in?

I’m travelling to california and may end up living in san francisco.

This is a list of some things I value/want in a neighborhood:

-cheap!! rent between 500-700 (with roommate of course)
-unique, artsy shops, vintage clothing stores
-good markets with fresh produce and organic, health food options
-friendly, openminded people
-cool movie theatres, music venues
-diversity
-funky cafe’s and pubs
-some greenery
-nice architecture

Some things I don’t need or value in a neighborhood:

-fast food
-malls
-lots and lots of people
-sky scrapers
-expensive rent

Noe Valley, Hayes Valley and Russian Hill may be out of your budget.

What is a good restaurant to go to for my 20th birthday?

I’m going to be with <20 good friends and I’m really indecisive on where I want to eat for my birthday. What restaurant is a good place to go for my 20th birthday? I’m a college student and money is a bit of an issue for me as well as for my friends so I want the price range to be <$15 per person. I want to feel special and have a good time (with the birthday singing and free dessert xD).

It should be a chain restaurant since those can be found everywhere. Some chain restaurants in my area are:

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse
Claim Jumper Restaurant
Mimi’s Cafe
Pasta Pomodoro
Old Spaghetti Factory
Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar
Chili’s Grill & Bar

What about Rainforest Cafe in SF? I have heard good things about this-in wharf area.
Old Spaghetti factory used to be great, but haven’t been there in a while.
Benihana is ALWAYS fun-but may be too expensive. Talk with mgr to work out a cheaper deal since you have a party.

Would a buffet kind of restaurant make money like a sit down one?

I mean in a rich neighborhood. Most of the time you see people in those kinds of neigherborhoods in sit down and order type restaurants.

Buffet style used to be very popular, because food was ready.
People could see what they were getting, try different things.
Health & Sanitation regulations have tightened considerably.
In response to many serious food poisoning complaints.
Because the food was not always kept safe & fresh.
Nowadays, a lot of food gets wasted & cannot be served.

Especially in rich neighbourhoods, people like being served.

What summer jobs can a 16 year old get in California?

I am 15 currently and I turn 16 over the summer on June 18. I want to get a paying job in any industry, really. What do California laws permit 16 year old labor and which places do you think are good ideas. I live near a gelsons market, dominos pizza, subway restaurant, ralphs market, barnes and noble bookstore, an office depot and a bunch more restaurants and little neighborhood places. Anybody have any good ideas? thanks!

Why work for somebody else? You can work for yourself. The main thing you need right now is money (duh) and experience with people. A good industry is helping the elderly. The baby boomers are getting old, and they always need help with dusting and vacuuming. Their eye site is not as good as it used to be, so many of them may need help with reading mail(?) letters(?) writing letters(?) You never know. It doesn’t sound too glamorous but trust me, there are a lot of benefits to helping other people. If you know anyone in a retirement community, they can also give you references to the other residents and you can stay busy. Just remember to report your earnings to the IRS. Good Luck!

I am in the lower income level, I am looking for a house but in my price range all I can find is neighborhoods full of Mexicans.
Where can I find a house in my price range (140k) where the people are white. If not Denver, do you have
any other ideas for towns to move to? I am looking for a good old fashioned white working class neighborhood. Where are they?

Yea i agree with the answer above me, Denver is very integrated, but you can find some primarly white neighborhoods in Thornton, Westminister, or Brighton for your price range.
