How I can check crime statistic in my new neighborhood?

somebody know some good police website in houston where you can check apartment complex before you move-in?

DAR got it, I went there a while back and found out the bad neighborhoods had the most felonies. As the neighborhood gets better, felonies decrease until you have neighborhoods who have none, then it shot up again when you reach the rich neighborhoods.

go to realtor.com and put in your zip code as if you were looking at a house. Pick any listing, then look at the links on the page. One of them should be for ‘neighborhood reports.’ You can get crime statistics etc from there.

It won’t have your particular complex, but you can find out about your zip code.

At this website you can select certain areas of the city of Houston and check into the police log of crimes reported by month. It does not supply specifics but it does give an idea of what type of crimes happen in a specific area. It is updated through April 2007 currently.
