I moved into an old town where various neighborhood homes leave the front porch and back porch lights on even in the day time. At first I didn’t think anything about it until I began to see the amount of gangster like traffic coming and going from the homes at all hours of the day and night. I’ve never lived in a place like this before so it is new to me… The city seems to be pretty numb about it all…
At my house it means I leave them on at night for security and just don’t feel like turning them on and off..so just leave them on all the time (except when I think to turn them off during the day).

i don’t know what u mean but i thought back and front porch lights were left on to make sure light was around the door to ward off burgulars. what’s gangster like traffic?

I never heard that one before, but then I am not into the drug scene so I really wouldn’t know. Maybe they leave the lights on for security at night and are too lazy or forget to turn them off in the daytime.

I always leave my lights on- it’s a security issue to let people know there is someone home. It’s not something that has to do with the drug trade, that would be a little too obvious. Even the crooks aren’t that dumb!

I’ve never heard of your theory before. As far as I know, some people leave the lights on for security reasons so that the place will be well-lit in case they are not home or in case they forget. In some areas, people leave the lights on because it is their vacation home and they can’t be there all the time to turn lights on and off.
