Go to Zillow.com and search for forclosures. There are 2-3 a week in my area.

we need to put this in the right wording.no one lost there home.they have to move out of a home that belonged to someone else.where they should never had been to start with.and probably left owing other people money that they do not intend to pay back.never buy what you cant afford.one of the first things i learned from my parents over 70 years ago.it always worked for me.and im sure many other people.and you can bet something else is going on.thats why we are where we are to day.

Sara, this is why I always advise people to get out and see your country, there is no other way to appreciate and get a pulse on the nation you live in that to skip the airplane flight and drive or take a bus. Stop at a few gas stations and talk to the local folk. Have a drink at a couple of bars along the way, eat at a couple of greasy spoons, you will have a better appreciation for what is going on in your country and not what is only going on in your suburb.

Not to mention, it’s such a beautiful country, it’ll take your breath away.

Actually its the FEAR of these people defaulting on their mortgages that caused this whole mess, research Mark – to Market. That is the true problem. Mark to market states that banks have to value the mortgages it holds at what they can sell the mortgage debt for today at the market price, rather than on the Present value of future cash flows. Because of all these write downs the banks fell below the asset to debt ration required by the Federal Government. None of these banks were insolvent from a cash-flow perspective, only from an artificial government accounting perspective.

My neighborhood is filled with vacant houses, but more are to tax foreclosures than bank foreclosures. Benton Harbor, MI. Its been this way for decades though.

there's a lot all over my state i am always looking for a cheap propert to buy and fix up there is definitely an abundance right now and the prices are still dropping because it is now too hard to get a loan so many people cant buy them

My hometown just lost 3 GM plants in the last 2 years. Half of my street is abandoned. My house is worth about half of what I owe on it. All I can do is pray for a fire or a tornado at this point.

The politicians won’t tell us, because they’re all globalist, but our real problem is our industrial base is gone. It was trickled the hell out of here.

One way trade is bleeding our economy to death. And that is the real problem facing us.

I watched C-Span last night. The conservative party leader was all over Gordon Brown for saying: "British jobs for British workers." Government leaders aren’t even allowed to suggest that they put their own people back to work anymore.

Most of the idiots who got foreclosed on are the minorities. Try going downtown and you’ll see thousands of them.

I’m not being racist, I’m just stating a fact that the gevernment made it easier for low income people to get loans. If they cant even pay there rent and dont work, why did they even get a loan?

I have no sympathy for them.
