What are some traits of a family owned mom/pop shop compared to big chain?

For example, I ordered food from a family run neighborhood restaurant this afternoon and it was delivered in a Big Lots store’s plastic bag, as though they were recycling to save on cost and waste!

The food tastes better. Like more authentic. And yes most of them do recycle. Most of them use pots and pans and stuff from there house. And so on. It’s like your mom and dad cooking for you

~~Don’t know why they used the Big Lots Bag, anyone can buy clank ones, so that is different.

The biggest difference from family owned versus corporate owned business, is the knowledge and treatment you receive from family owned business. They value and work hard for customer satisfaction.

The only corporate businesses that come to mind that are ran like family owned business is Costco and Dell Computers. Their customer service is superb.~~
